John Bell – Chief Executive Officer
John has had a long and diversified career in exploration and production drilling operations over 30 years. John joined British Petroleum as a Drilling Engineer in 1974 and commenced his oil industry career in the North Sea. From 1978 to 1987, John held positions with various international offshore drilling contractors from tool-pusher, rig superintendent and rig manager. Most of his international experience was acquired in the Middle East, North Africa including onshore Libya, North Sea (Norwegian and UK sectors), Australia, and Canada. From 1988 to 1994, John managed offshore drilling operations for BHP Petroleum in the Middle East and Australia holding the positions of Drilling Superintendent and Drilling Manager. In 1994, he co-founded RBT Petroleum Associates and introduced and developed drilling project management successfully in Australia/South East Asia. After the merger with ECL, John was appointed to the Main Board of Directors of the ECL Group. In January 2004 John established a new independent Well Engineering and Drilling Project Management company, under the long established name of Australian Drilling Associates Pty Ltd. He also introduced offshore multiple operator consortiums as a successful business model to Australia in 1996, in 2006 he successfully created the first of multiple offshore consortiums in Australia on an unprecedented scale.
Roy Brailsford – Financial Controller
Roy is a qualified accountant (FCCA), with over 20 years' experience in accounting and finance both in the UK and Australia. He held positions with accountancy practices in the UK including Grant Thornton and Ashgates before joining ADA. Roy's last position was Audit and Assurance Manager, Ernst & Young, Melbourne.
Roy has had extensive experience in accounting, audit and assurance across a range of industries including manufacturing, transport and logistics. He joined ADA in September, 2009.
